I’m a clinical psychologist practicing in a small town in the Midwest US. I blog to comment on treatment issues in psychology and psychiatry as well as the influence of politics on scientific studies. I have a small town mindset….that’s where I’m from and practice….and hope that others will benefit from the sharing of that mindset.

I also write about treatment and mental health issues. Sometimes, I will reference specific cases of treatment, with enough detail changed that the individual patient could never be identified. This is done so that the privacy of my patients is protected, but also allowing others to benefit from the lives and experiences of my patients.  I hope you find my opinions and thoughts to be of benefit.
